“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most importantly, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” - Steve Jobs
Lent Day 7: Even when I thought better, I went with my intuition, and decided to support a friend in a time of crisis. Sometimes, just showing up, and being present is all a friend needs. To know they are not alone, and that we will keep breathing for the next 60 seconds, than the next, then the next, and so on...
Lent Day 8: When it really comes down to it, I don't care who gets the credit as long as it gets done. Therefore, what really matters is bringing people together to make things better, for the generations that will come after me. I'm not going to do this forever, so I have to make sure someone is there to take up the gauntlet. That's why, I volunteer and mentor youth. In the end, it's really not about me.
