until one is committed...begin it now!

Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of initiative [and creation], there is one elementary truth - the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: the moment one definitely commits oneself, then providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in ones favor all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance which no man/woman could have dreamed would come his/her way. Whatever you can do or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it. Begin it now.

- Goethe

i've been brewing some of my own thoughts and ideas. these are some little bits of gold nuggets that i've come up with over my years of being alive and just trying to keep it all together. but, i would think this is one of my better brewed ideas: it is up to you to begin your life and what you want to do with it. we can go around and point fingers, blame others for our downfall and our missed opportunities.

but, in the end your path and the way you wish to walk and what direction you choose to move in it is all and has always been up to you. if you succeed you know that you have done something great and if you fail you know that you had tried at something great, but if you go through life never succeeding or failing you have never lived at all.

the only person that keeps you from reaching your goals or dreams is you; and that is one, if not one of the most important lessons any human being can learn.
